Meet Dr. Niki, in-house prosthodontist, educator of tomorrow’s dental specialists, and mom of two. Get a glimpse into her journey and passion for patient care.

My name is Nikki Megami, I am a maxillofacial prosthodontist. As a maxillofacial prosthodontist, you do 4 extra years of training after post, after finishing dental school. You see patients from simple cases to patients with a lot of complex needs with history of trauma, history of cancer, different illnesses so you really deal with patients with a lot of head and neck issues. What I have learned from being among is to have lots of patience and I use that with my patients all the time. I have two kids. One is 8 and the other one is 10 years ago. What my patients value mostly about me, Is the fact that I listened to them. Every patient is unique, they have special needs that’s unique to them, and I feel like you really have to make sure that those needs are met and communication discussion around those needs really allows for good treatment outcome. I used to teach full time at UCLA and because of my personal life and like to see treating more patients, I wanted to do more, incorporate more clinical practice into my career and hence I still like to teach. I still go to the university and I work with residents but I’m primarily focusing on private practice. What I love about working in Beverly Hills, Dental Health and Wellness is to work with different people with different expertise and this way we can offer our patient the best treatment possible.
