Dr. Sandra Iacob, Nutritionist and Mercury Toxicity Specialist
Good health is one of the true life's blessings. Most of the times, however, it is not valued until sickness comes. My present goal is to educate patients in understanding the importance of a healthy mouth in relation to the health of the entire body. It is often forgotten that teeth are not just our way to chop food. According to Chinese medicine, each tooth can tell a story about the part of the body it's connected to. Teeth, and their associated structures, are affected by the health of the body and, in turn, can affect the body.
As a graduate of University of DETROIT Dental School, class of 2000, I got the training to treat teeth. Working for almost ten years as a holistic dentist, then getting further training and certification in Nutrition, made me understand in greater depth, that the mouth-body relationship is a two way connection that has to be recognized and respected. I encourage including the following in approaching oral health - nutrition, biocompatible dental materials, supplements, use of natural treatments, and addressing potential toxicity. I welcome working with the patient's medical providers to enhance the outcome of treatment.
Our bodies like to heal, let's provide them with all the available tools, to try to make this possible!
